Champagne Moussé Frères is the estate of the brothers Mathieu and Nicolas Moussé in Cuchery, on the right bank of the Vallée de la Marne. Their champagnes are released under the Mathieu-Nicolas brand.
- History: The Moussé family has grown vines in the Vallée de la Marne since 1629. In 2017 the brothers took over the family estate and launched their own champagne brand. Mathieu, who trained in viticulture in Avize, works the vineyards; Nicolas handles the commercial side.
- Vineyards and terroir: The estate covers about 5 hectares in Cuchery, Cuisles, Jonquery, Fleury-la-Rivière and Damery.
- Approach and style: The brothers grass over the vineyards to improve the soil and biodiversity, and are working towards HVE certification.
- Cuvées: The Cuvée 1629 is a classic blend of pinot meunier, pinot noir and chardonnay. Others include L'Apanage Blancs, Le Fil d'Ariane and a Rosé de Blanc, as well as the single-plot cuvées La Croix Robert and Les Plants de l'Église.
