Champagne Laherte Frères is a family house in Chavot, in the Coteaux Sud d'Épernay.
- History: The estate was founded in 1889 by Jean-Baptiste Laherte. In 2005 Aurélien Laherte, the seventh generation, took over from Thierry and Christian Laherte.
- Vineyards and terroir: The estate covers around 11 to 12 hectares, split into dozens of parcels across the Coteaux Sud d'Épernay, the Vallée de la Marne and the Côte des Blancs. Since 2011 the house has also bought grapes from small growers who share its approach. It also works with the old Petit Meslier variety.
- Approach and style: Under Aurélien the focus shifted to the vineyard and sustainability, with a conversion to biodynamics, site-specific cuvées and no malolactic fermentation for the single-vineyard wines.
- Cuvées: The range includes Ultradition Extra Brut, Rosé de Meunier Extra Brut, Nature Blanc de Blancs, Les Empreintes Extra Brut and Bouzy Grand Cru Blanc de Noirs.
