Champagne L'Hoste Père & Fils is a family-run business based in Bassuet (Vitryat, Champagne), founded in 1970 by Jean and Suzanne L'Hoste. The estate is currently run by their sons Pascal and Dominique, supported by the fourth generation, Clément.
- Vineyards: The business manages a 15 to 18 hectare holding on chalky soils. The grape varieties are 90% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Noir, with an average vine age of between 20 and 45 years.
- Winemaking: They work with combined traditional and modern methods in a raisonné (balanced) cultivation, with respect for the environment. All stages of production, from harvest to pressing, take place on the estate. It holds the Haute Valeur Environnementale (HVE) label.
- Champagnes: Production amounts to approximately 115,000 bottles a year. Well-known cuvées are the Brut Prestige (Blanc de Blancs), the Brut Tradition, Extra-Brut, Millésime and Rosé.
- Visit: The estate offers demonstrations and tastings (approx. 60 minutes) in a renovated tasting room. Opening hours are generally 09:00-12:00 and 14:00-18:00, with contact via +33 3 26 73 94 43.
