Champagne Gaiffe Brun is a small family estate with vineyards in Avenay-Val-d'Or, on the edge of the Montagne de Reims and the Vallée de la Marne. Production is very limited.
- Vineyards and terroir: The estate covers around 3.3 hectares on limestone and clay-limestone soils in Avenay-Val-d'Or, a premier cru village.
- Approach and style: Around two thirds of the wines are matured in oak barrels. Dosage is low (2.5 g/l at most) or absent altogether.
- Cuvées: The cuvée names begin with an É: Ébène, a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay aged in wood; Élégance, a blanc de blancs without oak ageing; Émotion, Éclat and Exception du Val d'Or. There is also a Blanc de Noirs and the cuvée En Mer.
