Champagne De Milly
Champagne house in Champagne.
Champagne Albert de Milly is a family estate belonging to the Demilly family in Bisseuil, at the crossroads of the Montagne de Reims, the Vallée de la Marne and the Côte des Blancs. The family have been winegrowers for generations, passed down from father to son.
- History: Alain Demilly first worked as a travelling winemaker, which enabled him to expand the family vineyard. In 1994 he registered his brand, named after his father. He is now joined by his son Thomas.
- Vineyards and terroir: The estate farms around 15 hectares of vines, planted with the three classic Champagne grape varieties.
- Approach and style: The vineyards are farmed according to the principles of 'viticulture raisonnée'; the Brut Tradition is aged in tank.
- Cuvées: The range includes a Brut Tradition, a Sélection (predominantly black grapes), a Premier Cru, an Extra Brut and a vintage Brut.
