C17 is not a single champagne house but a joint cuvée of the association Grands Crus d'Exception de Champagne. Fifteen growers work together in it, most of them from grower families who took over their estates from their fathers.
- History: The name refers to the seventeen grand cru villages of Champagne, which together are the source of this cuvée.
- Vineyards and terroir: The grapes come from the grands crus of the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs. For Chardonnay these include Avize, Chouilly, Cramant, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Oger and Oiry; for Pinot Noir they include Ambonnay, Aÿ, Bouzy and Verzy.
- Cuvées: The C17 Vintage Grand Cru is released in magnum. The 2018 vintage consists of 65% Pinot Noir and 35% Chardonnay and was bottled in April 2019, amounting to 1,600 magnums.
