Champagne Berger is a family house in the Vallée de la Marne that has shown passion for winegrowing for four generations, led by Barbara and Céline. The estate is located in Trélou-sur-Marne, specifically in the hamlet of Courcelles, between Epernay and Château-Thierry.
The vineyards lie on the gentle slopes of the Marne valley and are grown using reasoned farming (raisonnée). The soil is diverse, consisting of clay, sand, limestone and marl, which promotes the expression of the three main grape varieties: Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
The approach combines tradition with high standards; from pruning and harvest to vinification and blending, every step is carried out with precision to preserve the finesse and complexity of the champagnes. Since 2020 the estate has held the dual certification HVE (High Environmental Value) and Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne (VDC), indicating a strongly environmentally conscious approach.
The champagnes are sold at the estate and are characterised by their elegance and balance, with Pinot Meunier playing a prominent role for roundness and suppleness. Visitors can visit the installations, from pressing to bottling, and the vineyards to discover the production and the history of the house.
