Champagne Arnoult-Ruelle is a family business that has been based in Trannes in the Côte des Bar since 1971. The operation is run by Olivier Arnoult and is certified as "Viticulture Durable en Champagne", which guarantees sustainable winegrowing.
The vineyards cover approximately 5 to 5.5 hectares, entirely located in Trannes on three different soil types. The grape varieties are Pinot noir, Chardonnay and Pinot meunier. The business produces around 20,000 bottles per year and applies organic/sustainable practices such as mechanical weed control and grass cover between the rows, without herbicides.
The approach includes hand harvesting, traditional pressing and separate vinification per variety. The champagnes are aged in the estate's cellars. Visitors can visit the estate for tours and tastings, which are possible all year round by appointment and welcome groups of up to 50 people.
The champagnes range from Extra Brut to Brut Nature. Important cuvées are:
- Cuvée Initiale: A blend of 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay (Extra Brut/Brut Nature).
- Etiquette Rouge: A classic blend of 80% Pinot Noir, 10% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Meunier (Brut/Demi-sec).
- Rosé: A blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier.
- Blanc de Blancs and Blanc de Noirs variants, often with an Extra Brut or Nature dosage.
