Champagne Angélique Lacroix is a family business based in Montigny-sous-Châtillon (Vallée de la Marne), founded by Angélique Lacroix, who took over the operation in 2010 to launch her own brand. She combines her passion for wine with a background in perfumery, resulting in champagnes that focus on emotion and sensuality rather than technical complexity.
The vineyards cover 4.5 hectares and are divided over Montigny-sous-Châtillon, Leuvrigny, Vassy (Dormans) and Mont-Saint-Père. The grape varieties consist of 70-75% Pinot Meunier, 20% Pinot Noir and 10-15% Chardonnay. The house bears the Vigneron Indépendant (Independent Winegrower) label, which indicates that Angélique manages the entire production process, from the vineyard to bottling.
Some notable cuvées are:
- Divine Angel Prestige Rosé: A brut rosé with 70% Chardonnay, awarded 92/100 points.
- Délicate Angel: An extra-brut white champagne (70% Pinot Meunier, 15% Chardonnay) with 90/100 points.
- Irrésistible Angel: A rosé that won the Trophée Jeunes Talents de Champagne in 2018.
- Prestige Divine Angel: A brut blanc with 70% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Noir (91/100 points).
- L'Écrin by Angel: A brut nature blanc de noirs made from 100% Pinot Meunier (89/100 points).
Visitors can drop by by appointment for cellar visits and tastings. The house is known for its accessible style, with each cuvée christened with a name that speaks directly to the senses, such as Divine and Irrésistible.
