Champagne Michel Rutat is a label of the Rutat winegrowing family from Vertus, in the south of the Côte des Blancs.
- History: The family originally delivered its grapes to the cooperative. In 1960 René Rutat left the cooperative to make his own champagne. From 1985 his son Michel ran the estate. Since 2016 Flavien and Baptiste Rutat have been in charge; they have kept the label created by their father Michel.
- Vineyards and terroir: The estate farms almost 7 hectares of vines around Vertus, a premier cru village.
- Approach and style: The current generation farms organically. The cuvées are bottled with little or no dosage.
- Cuvées: Les Grillettes Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature, Lignum Blanc de Blancs Zero Dosage and a Rosé de Saignée Extra Brut.
